A Fond Farewell
As of 2026, Holiday Homes Islay (HHI) will no longer be managing self-catering holiday properties on Islay.

This has been a difficult decision, and not one we’ve made lightly. It has been a real privilege to care for The Dower House and Four Winds in recent years, and Tigh Cargaman before them. However, rising costs, complex licensing changes, and growing government reporting requirements have increasingly demanded more of our family’s time.

With this in mind, we’ve made the decision to bring Holiday Homes Islay to a close.

Thank you to all our wonderful guests and supporters over the years — it’s been an absolute pleasure.

And as for ‘Harry’, our beloved Highland Cattle logo — he’ll be enjoying a well-earned retirement with a dram of whisky on an Islay beach.
